NOTE! Hardware and Software described on these pages are INDEPENDANT from each other. The new hardware is still available and sold by Individual Computers at www.jschoenfeld.com. We will be supplying the software to be able to use the new features, aswell as keep constantly working on improving the existing functions. Although the old softwares known from Datel and other companies who did various similar versions will be usable, they will not be able to fully take advantage of the new hardware's features. Please read section by section, they are supposed to be read that way ... :) |

Release Info for the hardware! English Version
| ||
| Started working
on the new fileselector routine after having checked some future compatibilities. Since we are planning on getting REUs utilized and get the freezer be able to load almost anything, this needed some research. Next I will focus on the IEC loader for HD and FD drives then. Probably we are going to add another saveland option soon aswell. People willing to beta-test a probably rather buggy version, please EMAIL ME! | ||
| More test-work revealed some 1571 related problems it seems. Going after that aswell. Frank Kontros also reported a bug and a fix for it. Still needs to be checked, aswell as a wicked monitor bug revealed by Ninja. Jens Schoenfeld had a car accident ! He just left hospital and is currently recovering. According to Jens it was a really tough crash and he is damn lucky he survived. This will delay hardware development a little more, but we are also trying to get cool plastic covers for the new hardware. If the stuff works out as planned, you will get your carts pretty soon with really lovely coverage. Going to include a new fileselector and add more small functions soon. | ||
| Been constantly testing and debugging the main code. Going to include a new fileselector and add more small functions soon. | ||
| Danzig is still working on the Sprite and Chareditor, but refused to tell a release date. :( Checky is constantly improving the TASS version and we will try to put up a list of recent changes for TASS only soon. |
||
| Jens told me that the mainboards have arrived. Final hardware testing will be done pretty soon. Then we'll go for finalizing the software, so it really fits the new hardware. |
| EMULATORS ! Please, please, please ! Bug your favourite emulator programmer to support the new Retro Replay registers ! We are urgently looking for good emulations and people willing to test functions. A modified register setting document for emu-coders is available on request here. |
